ADDISON – The 12th edition of the Flodder Financial Shootout will take place from June 17-18. The Legends Junior Tour event will return to Falcon Point Golf Club for the seventh consecutive year.

Colton, Harper tied for lead after Round Two of the 25th Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship

DALLAS — Luke Colton of Frisco and Brooks Harper of Dallas finished Round 2 tied for the lead at 9-under 133. Colton, coming off a strong round one, finished with a 4-under 67, while Harper finished with a 5-under 66.

“It was a good round,” shared Colton. “I had to scramble a bit more than yesterday, but I was able to put together a good score by making a few putts.”

Colton, continuing his strong scoring after round one, finished with a 67 that included only one bogey in the whole round.

“I am just going to keep the same routine,” shared the Wakeland High School junior. “Get a good night’s rest and head out here tomorrow and hopefully play well.”

Colton Leads After Round 1 at 25th Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship

DALLAS – Luke Colton of Frisco leads after Round 1 at the 25th Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship. The junior fired a 5-under 66 to kick off the second major for the boys on the LJT schedule.

“I feel good,” shared Colton. “I played pretty well and left a few shots out there, but overall, it’s a good start to the tournament.”

Colton showcased his skill by going bogey-free through seventeen holes, including six birdies. On No. 18, Colton missed a putt a few inches short, scoring his only bogey of the day. Despite tough weather conditions at the start of the round, Colton remained unfazed, going 2-under on the front nine.

Colton Leads After Round 1 at 25th Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship

DALLAS – Luke Colton of Frisco leads after Round 1 at the 25th Veritex Bank Byron Nelson Junior Championship. The junior fired a 5-under 66 to kick off the second major for the boys on the LJT schedule.

“I feel good,” shared Colton. “I played pretty well and left a few shots out there, but overall, it’s a good start to the tournament.”

Colton showcased his skill by going bogey-free through seventeen holes, including six birdies. On No. 18, Colton missed a putt a few inches short, scoring his only bogey of the day. Despite tough weather conditions at the start of the round, Colton remained unfazed, going 2-under on the front nine.
